Pink city painted Red

Jaipur, famed Pink city of the world was painted Red in blood after series of Bomb blasts. 8 Bombs were activated by timed devices killing more then 70 citizens of Jaipur. Never ever in its 280 years of history had jaipur seen such a mayhem. There were chaos every where when the bomb kept blasting within 13 minutes. People kept loosing their lives irrespective of their ages, cast and creed. There are still more then 200 people still seriously injured.

I am living in this beautiful city since last 35 years. This city always gave me a sense of pride. During my trips abroad whenever I use to introduce myself as a person coming from Pink City, the reaction which always followed was oh! that beautiful and peaceful city.

Jaipur is now facing a much bigger challenge of saving its glory and identity. This place is much bigger then just a name in atlas. People are helping people. Last night when there was shortage of blood there were persons lining up to donate blood. The injured were rushed in by bystanders in whatever mode of transport they could lay their hands on. Timely treatment saved so many life. The peace and harmony of this place cannot be destroyed by some bombs.

Terrorist strategically planned Jaipur. This place is recognized for its tourism across the world. It took USA around 1 hours from the blast to condemn the bombing. This is quite fast and shows the impact jaipur has internationally.

As a jaipurite there is sadness and bitterness in our heart. Why us ? But there is also a sense of conviction and solidarity. We know that mere some blasts cannot destroy our history. It will take more then this for people to damage Jaipur. We are all closed today not because we are afraid or scared but as a mark of respect to people who lost their life. Life will back to normal tomorrow and Jaipur will prove to the world that it will stay Pink in heath and harmony always.
