Bomb-at-Bay

The battle to save the Mumbai city is still on while I write this blog. The terrorists are engaged in a fierce battle at three locations in Mumbai: two leading hotels of heritage significance and one building. The cops, army, ATS and what not are battling hard to take control of the situation. These landmark buildings are gravely damaged and burning and it would be very difficult to bring them back to original form. But can we bring the city back to normalcy?

We have lost police officials that cannot be replaced. We have to close down the stock market leading to cancellation of millions of transactions. We were forced to postpone the upcoming cricket league, which would have pumped millions of dollars into Indian economy. We have deprived lakhs of students from their studies today. We have had huge cancellation of bookings from foreign nationals for their future trips, leading to great revenue loss for the traveling industry. Now we find ourselves in a situation where have people who are scared and concerned to move around in their own city and country.

So on whom was this attack upon anyways ? This cannot be on innocent people who have got nothing to do with diplomacy and revenge, it cannot be on foreigners who always trusted this country and believed it to be their extended home. It cannot be on staff of the hotels that always believed in serving customers of any nation. It can never be on the brave police men who opted for this tough job to ensure that we, common man, can have a better and peaceful life.

This attack was on our confidence, on our self-belief and our emotions. Can they shatter that? I am afraid if this is their target then they have lost the battle even before it started. We are one of the most patient country. We have earned and learned to take things the harder way. Indian does not get things on platter and hence are most flexible and hard souls.

Even when I write this, see the slap that my country is going to give to these animals. The life would be back to normal, the armed forces are going to kill these guys in their own game and retrieve the lost places. Mumbai will be back in action and the ATS and police would ensure that these terrorists pay for killing of their comrades. Its now time to stand united and ensure that the world watches the fight back this great country can give, by bringing the situation back to normalcy. This country cannot be shattered and destroyed by mere bomb blasts. We have the trust and faith of each other and that is enough to make the world a better place to live in this beautiful country….
