A Train Journey

It started on 10th Sept when I boarded Jaipur-Mysore express at 19.40 PM. To say that this was my first train journey in last 3 years would definately be a laughing matter but indeed it was ( I travel maximum times by my car and have been very lucky to take 2-3 international trips of course by flights). And I must tell you that it was quite an impressive journey. Train travels have definately gone top notch. To have a country which plies so many trains in a day and transfer so many people to their destination it was simply amazing to see the services upgrade.

We booked ourselves in 3 AC. The train was on time to start with. The booking chart was all ready. There was no commotion of seats when we landed inside. The attended was more then polite. The bedding was definately towards the cleaner side. The e-ticket, now a life saver which lets us avoid those long long queues, was gleefully accepted by TT. The Id proof was cake walk. The dinner was offered to us till late hours upto 22.30 PM.

It was such a satisfying experience. The train was just 5 mins late and we were at Ujjain at 3.45 AM (we were actually heading towards Indore). Overall I was so convinced with this mode of transport. Kudos to the ministry and department.

Now I am excitedly waiting for those days when, as proposed, the female attended would be on-duty at some prestigous train routes. Will write more after one such journey :)
